March with Fatima
Fatima Iqbal-Zubair is a public school teacher, an immigrant, a mother, and a community advocate running to represent us in State Assembly District 64. Fatima was moved to run for office after witnessing the incumbent’s neglect of our communities. When fossil fuel companies pollute our neighborhoods, heavily armed police stalk our schools, and developers push us from our homes, we have to ask: who is this serving? NOT. US.
While Fatima refuses to take corporate PAC money and has made the No Cop Money and No Fossible Fuel Money pledges, Mike Gipson takes money from fuel companies, Big Tobacco, cops, and big land developers. We are rallying to send a message that we demand OUR NEEDS to be met in Sacramento- NOT corporations’! We demand to be represented! We demand Fatima to elected!
On Sunday, August 30th join us in Compton’s Wilson Park as we march with Fatima Iqbal-Zubair to demand Mike Gipson return the hundreds of thousands of dollars he’s received to subvert our needs!
March with us as we ask: which side are you on, Mike? Because WE CAN’T WAIT for people-centered leadership. WE CAN’T WAIT to end neighborhood drilling. WE CAN’T WAIT to end corporate bribery of our representatives.
Give it back, Mike! March with us, march with Fatima!
